Thadd and Shannon met by chance on a weekend trip with some mutual friends. In a whirlwind of events, they began a long distance relationship. After traveling to each other’s hometowns a handful of times Shannon became pregnant. With plans of having the baby and starting a family together, Shannon moved from central Illinois to Columbia, Missouri to live with Thadd. Awaiting the birth of their son, Jasper, Thadd works full time in hopes to secure financial stability for his new family, while Shannon juggles school and a part time job, aiming to give her son a better life than she had. As the couple struggles to make things work for their new family, the threads begin to come undone and uncertainty sets in. Director Adam Dietrich captures an intimate portrait of a young family as they struggle to find commonality and grow together.
