Cam Medrano is a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer from Roseville, California. During their time at the University of Missouri, Cam studied documentary journalism and film production while working with the Women's and Gender Studies department. With a passion for community-based storytelling, Cam has worked for several news outlets and looks to step into non-fiction filmmaking as they depart from the program. She is interested in using film as an outlet to bridge journalistic curiosity with compassion, which influenced her work in her directorial debut, ROYALE (2024).
